We offer free 15-minute consultation sessions for clients who want to meet their counsellor before committing to a 50-minute counselling session. These sessions are a good opportunity to find out if there is a good client-counsellor fit. The counsellor will ask you what brings you to counselling to establish if they have the right tools to support you. This is also an opportunity for you to ask the counsellor any questions you may have.

Just like you may not feel connected to everyone in your personal and professional life, you might not have a connection with every counsellor. The client-counsellor fit refers to the quality of the relationship between the client and the counsellor. Do you feel safe, comfortable and supported while in the presence of your counsellor? Research has shown that the quality of the relationship between the client and the counsellor is a predictor of client progress. This is why we encourage you to let us know if you have any concerns about your connection with your counsellor. We are happy to provide referrals to other counsellors in the area should you find our counsellors are not the best fit for you.

If you are new to us, we ask that you fill out our new client inquiry form. If you are a returning client, please book your session through our online booking site.

If you are hoping to use your extended health benefits to cover the cost, we encourage you to look into what type of counselling services are covered on your plan. Our counsellors are Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC).
At this time, we only offer direct billing to First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) clients.
For any other type of reimbursement, the information needed to receive coverage will be on your receipt for you to submit to your insurance provider.

You may cancel your session with more than 48 hours notice through our online booking site, by emailing your counsellor directly or by emailing our office. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice must be made via email and will be subject to a cancellation fee (50% of the cost of the session). In the case of no-shows (client does not show up for their session with no notice), you will be charged the full cost of the session.
